Foot Care

Your legs, especially your feet, don’t get the attention they deserve. They carry you through the city all day, to work, to school. What if one day they said enough is enough? That’s exactly what you would do. You would give up on friends who forget about you and don’t pay attention to you.

Itching, burning, pain. Prevent it before it’s too late. Proper, regular foot care ensures not only an attractive appearance but, above all, healthy feet. Don’t put it off. The longer you wait, the harder the work ahead of you will be.

Hardened, rough skin and cracked heels

Irregular foot care is the cause of hardened, rough skin and cracked heels. Not only do such feet look unattractive, but the cracks can also cause pain. Similarly, choosing the wrong footwear leads to swelling, cramps, blisters and problems with the toes, which can take several weeks to treat.

3 Steps to Beautiful Feet

Achieving perfect feet is simple, but it takes your time. It’s important that foot care be regular. Pay attention to your feet all year round, not just in summer.

1. Walking Barefoot

When was the last time you took off your shoes and walked barefoot through a park, a meadow, on the grass…? It might have been the last time when you were still a child. It’s not for nothing that they say children know what they’re doing. Try it yourself. Enjoy the feeling of freedom. Your feet will finally be able to breathe!

2. Pedicure

Find some time for yourself and treat yourself to a pedicure. It’s up to you whether you choose a specialized salon that will take care of you, or try it yourself. A home pedicure can be a lot of fun! Invite your girlfriends over and let the girls’ night begin.

How to do a home pedicure?

Start with a fragrant foot bath. Add any essential oil you like to the water. Lavender is excellent, for example, as it relieves the muscle cramps typical after a long day spent in shoes. After the bath, your skin will be softer, pleasantly scented, and ready for the next step.

For areas with rough, hardened skin, use a heel grater or a file with sandpaper. A heel grater is more practical, easier to handle, and lets you reach all the necessary spots more easily. It’s also more eco-friendly, since the batteries can be recharged, so you don’t produce any waste.

Don’t forget your nails. Remove the old polish and continue by trimming your nails. Don’t forget to finish the shape of the nail with a file. Gently push back the cuticle, and apply oil around the nail and nail bed. Try, for example, almond oil, which is great for dry skin.

And finally, don’t forget to moisturize. Choose a cream whose texture and scent suit you best, and massage it into your skin. Your feet will reward you with beautifully soft skin and a pleasant feeling.

Don’t have time to do all the steps? An electric device with five attachments can help speed up the process. The rotating head with crystal granules smooths hard skin gently and effectively.

3. Stretching

Yes, you read that right. After a long, demanding day, exercise is a relief for your legs. It may not seem that way at first, but regular stretching loosens up sore, tired legs. Devote at least 10 minutes a day to it.

Simple exercises for the evening

  • Sit on a chair and curl your toes, as if making a fist with your hands. Hold the position for a few seconds, then release.
  • Rotate your foot at the ankle. Make several circular movements to the right, then to the left.
  • If you experience uncomfortable foot pain, take a small ball or a rolled-up sock and roll your foot over it several times.

Give your feet the relief they deserve. Regular foot care throughout the year should be a matter of course.
