The first assignment is always the hardest – but it's doable

Many aspiring feet models ask how to get their first paid assignment. It's not rocket science, but it requires an active approach and patience. Here is a step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Have a quality profile

Before reaching out to clients, make sure your profile is complete. That means: filled-out description, quality photos, contact details. A VIP profile will help you significantly, as clients see you first.

Step 2: Follow requests on the website

On our website and in the member zone, client requests are regularly posted. Follow them and respond to those that match your foot type and capabilities.

Step 3: Actively approach potential clients

Don't hesitate to offer your services to shoe e-shops, sock manufacturers, cosmetic brands or photographers. Just send a short email with a link to your profile and a few sample photos.

Step 4: Be active on social media

Instagram is a great tool to show your feet to a wide audience. Regularly post new photos, use hashtags #feetmodel #footmodel and follow brand accounts that might be interested.

Step 5: Prepare for the shoot

When the first client contacts you, agree on details – what to shoot, style, fee. Usually it's home photography based on sample images, so nothing complicated.

Step 6: Meet deadlines and quality

Reliability is key. Meet the agreed deadline and deliver photos in the required quality. A satisfied client will come back and recommend you to others.
