Portfolio is your business card – make a good first impression

Your portfolio is the first thing a client sees. If it looks professional, you gain trust and a chance for an assignment. On the other hand, dull or low-quality photos can cost you lucrative collaboration.

What photos to include in your portfolio

An ideal portfolio contains 15–20 images that show your feet in different positions, lighting and stylizations. Clients want to see how your feet look in various situations – bare, in shoes, with jewelry, in hosiery.

Recommended types of shots:

  • Profile foot detail – highlights the arch and shape
  • Top view of toes – shows nails and their grooming
  • Feet from below – sometimes clients want to see the sole too
  • Feet in sandals or pumps – presents you as a shoe model
  • Feet with toe rings and ankle bracelets – for jewelry assignments
  • Feet in stockings – appreciated by hosiery manufacturers
  • Natural poses outdoors or at home – show versatility

Technical photo parameters

Photos should be sharp, well-exposed and in sufficient resolution (at least 1920×1080 pixels). Use natural daylight, avoid excessive filters and edits. Clients want to see reality, not artificial effects.

How to present your portfolio
