Hard Heel Care – How to Get Soft and Smooth Feet

Hard heels and rough skin are common problems that trouble many women. The cause is often insufficient care, unsuitable footwear, dry skin, or health issues. We bring you a comprehensive guide on how to get rid of hard heels and keep them soft all year round.

Why do heels harden?

  • Insufficient hydration – dry skin cracks and hardens more easily
  • Unsuitable footwear – open shoes, high heels, hard soles
  • Long standing – increased pressure on the heels
  • Overweight – greater load on the feet
  • Age – skin loses elasticity with age
  • Vitamin deficiency – especially A, E, and D

How to care for hard heels – step by step

Step 1: Foot bath

Soak your feet in warm water (38-40 °C) with sea salt or baking soda for 10-15 minutes. The water softens hard skin and makes it easier to remove. For extra nourishment, add a few drops of olive or almond oil.

Step 2: Remove hard skin

After the bath, use a gentle foot file or pumice stone. File in circular motions, never too intensely. Remove only the top layer, let the skin protect itself naturally. For diabetics and people with sensitive skin, we recommend gentler methods.

Step 3: Apply nourishing cream

After removing hard skin, apply a generous layer of cream with a high content of urea, shea butter, or hyaluronic acid to your feet. Massage in and let it absorb.

Step 4: Night wrap

Apply a thick layer of cream at night, put on cotton socks, and leave it to work until morning. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a week for maximum effect.
